Hello!

I'm Rita, originally from Athens, Greece where I grew up and worked for most of my life. In 2018 I decided to leave everything behind in my home country to pursue my dream, a PhD in marketing, as life is too short to hold back our heart's deepest desires.

 

Two years later, I find myself living permanently in Leicester, starting my 3rd year as a PhD candidate in Marketing at the University of Leicester. The journey is mesmerizing and I love every minute of it! Even more as PhD is a creative process as well that permits the researcher to combine her interests within the knowledge quest.

This meant for me that I could combine my being a fantasy aficionado and a Harry Potter fan into a project that explores how fans experience fantasy and desire.
